Concrete pools have come a long way since their inception. Now they're significantly more eco-friendly. Energy-efficient equipment, eco-friendly finishes, and water-saving features like pool covers and variable-speed pumps now make them more sustainable.

When designing a concrete pool, considerations include shape, depth, features like steps or ledges and surrounding landscaping. The design should complement the overall aesthetics of the property while ensuring functionality and safety. Custom features such as lighting, mosaics and integrated spas can enhance the pool's appeal.

Most pools can be converted to a saltwater system by installing a salt chlorine generator. The conversion process involves adding the appropriate amount of salt to the pool and installing the generator in the pool’s filtration system. It's important to use corrosion-resistant materials and equipment to prevent damage from salt.

A mineral pool system uses a combination of minerals and a sanitising agent, often a small amount of chlorine or a salt chlorinator, to keep the water clean. The minerals dissolve in the water and work alongside the sanitiser to maintain water quality. The system typically includes a mineral cartridge or additive that needs periodic replacement.
